TNGG: Live Coverage at CES
My boarding pass is printed, my bags are packed and I’m off to Las Vegas to cover CES 2010 – the largest collection of gadgets and geeks this world has to offer. My brother Rob and I will be posting full coverage of the show, including photos, video and more.
CES is not only the largest gathering of technophiles, but the largest gathering of any kind in Vegas.
The 2005 attendance was over 150,000, technically making the Las Vegas Convention Center the 3rd largest city in the state of Nevada.
To say that we’ve got a hectic few days ahead of us is quite the understatement.
But it’s worth it. The technical advancements showcased at CES often become mainstays in our everyday lives, and it’s important that the designers of the newest tech hear what the next great generation of consumers think about it.
Rob and I have put together a list of product categories below. It’s not comprehensive but it’ll do for now. Truthfully, we’re relying on you, the readers, to let us know what you want to see. We’re your eyes and ears.
* Cell Phones
* Netbooks
* E-Books
* 3D TV
* Digital Cameras
* Video Games
* Tablet Computers
So what is it that turns you on, Gen Y?
We’ll be posting our latest updates on twitter so give us a follow to stay up to date: @MattCad and @RobCadwallader

so happy you are there! good luck!!! Looking forward to more posts
• How are some of these new products going to change the way businesses and industries operate?
• What shifts in market segments (entertainment, mobile, etc.) do you predict happening with the attainment of these new products?
• How are the companies approaching marketing the products, especially if they have created a new segment in the market or taken a giant leap in what was available?
• What do you think about Lady Gaga’s Creative Director position with Polaroid? What are her visions for her role with the company?
*Extra Credit: Get a pic with LG when she makes her appearance at the show.
A photo with Lady Gaga? We’ll see what we can do.
Congrats on getting this gig, guys!
Like many in this generation, I’m in college. CES has some of the most unbelievable products and ideas imaginable. But, college kids often don’t have the budget (or use) for most of them. I’d love to hear about products that are either geared toward or ideal for college kids (or recent grads) with limited monies and space. I’d say important qualities for me would be low price, durability, and availability within the next year.
Have fun!!
Affordability is certainly an issue for us. We’re going to work hard to provide a balance between technnologies that we can use now, and ones that might be too expensive for us now but will be cheap and commonplace in a few years.
Hey, did you ever upload that interview Outside the convention center?
