A new editor for a new phase of TNGG

There are approximately 60 million people who are considered to be part of the Millennial Generation. I am one of them. And I’m damn proud of it. We are the best educated, most tech-savvy, globalized demographic the world has ever seen; yet we are also the most misunderstood.

The Next Great Generation hopes to close the gap between older generations, specifically Boomers, and ourselves. We allow Gen Y to speak for itself about what matters to us, what we think, how we live day-to-day, and what we hope for our future.

I’m pleased and honored to have the opportunity to edit this site and help move it forward from a blog to something bigger – a magazine, a community, a hub of opinions and analysis of the world from a unique perspective, a response, and a place to tell it like it is.

In the next few months, we’re going to be making some changes to TNGG. Some will work well, some might not, but similar to the way we live our lives, this is an experiment. No one can tell where exactly we’ll go from here, but I will work tirelessly to propel it forward.

Check out my interview with TNGG creator Edward Boches to see what else we’re talking about.

Alex Pearlman I love the John Adams miniseries, the Disney version of Peter Pan, and 'A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius.' My heroes include Aaron Sorkin, Audrey Hepburn, Gloria Steinem, Woody Allen and Allen Ginsberg. I don't like the two-party system, I do like crossword puzzles. I like red wine, I don't like fascists. I like big ideas, I don't like apathy. I like Wikileaks, I don't like censorship. I believe journalism needs a full-blown revolution to survive. Also, I'm the Editor in Chief of The Next Great Generation. Twitter: @lexikon1
