Cheapishly: Houndstooth Honey

If you’re a busy girl like me, you’ll know what I mean when I say that chipped nail polish is the scourge of my daily beauty life. At the risk of sounding like a bimbo, nothing is more frustrating than spending your night carefully applying coat after basecoat only to scratch your newly manicured nails the next morning as you close the door to your medicine cabinet.

And then, there it was, gracing the nails of the likes of Beyonce, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga – Minx nails. Professionally applied nail appliques that last up to a month and come in a plethora of metallic shades and perfect patterns. The only drawback? These manicures will cost you fifty bucks a pop.

Luckily, Sally Hansen just added a cost-effective chip-free option to their drug store repertoire. With 25 options from neon solids to the multiple patterns shown below, these appliques are relatively easy to apply and realistically last almost two weeks. And with this price tag, you’ll only be spending a dollar a nail. Totally justifiable.

Minx Nails, $50

Sally Hansen nail polish strips, $9.50
