If you’re an avid movie watcher like me, it will come as no surprise to you when a teen flick or any coming-of-age story features an epic party scene. There’s also no doubt that we’ve all taken a couple of ideas for parties from such movies at least once in our lives. Here at TNGG, we’ve compiled the greatest party scenes that have made us laugh, cringe, and maybe even turn to our friends and say, “We’ve GOT to try that!”
1. Anchorman (2004)
The hilariously notorious cry of Ron Burgundy can have us all yelling “CANNONBALL!” at the next pool party to end the summer with a bang. Or a splash.
2. Almost Famous (2000)
Like Ron Burgundy, rock star Russell from Almost Famous jumped off a roof after yelling, “I’m a Golden God”— and his fastidiously picked last words were, “I’m on drugs!”
3. Animal House (1978)
For those lost souls out there that have yet to watch this 1978 classic, be sure to make it the top choice for your upcoming Netflix night. There is no doubt DJs at proms and parties play “Shout” by Otis Day and The Knights in an effort to keep this epic toga party scene alive.
4. Get Him to the Greek (2010)
What should you do when you’re incredibly high from a “Jeffrey”? Why, stroke the furry wall, of course! But just make sure Russell Brand doesn’t give you an adrenaline shot.
5. 10 Things I Hate About You (1999)
Because what’s better than Julia Stiles table dancing to “Hypnotize” by Notorious B.I.G.?
6. Superbad (2007)
Another Judd Apatow classic: Michael Cera singing “These Eyes” by The Guess Who in an attempt to stay alive in a room full of hardcore party guys.
7. Old School (2003)
I don’t know about you guys, but I really do wish that Mitch-a-Palooza were real!
8. The Wedding Singer (1998)
Probably Adam Sandler’s best movie, wedding singer Robbie Hart helps a bummed out 13 year old realize that he shouldn’t waste his time wanting to dance with someone who doesn’t want to dance with him. A life-long lesson learned in just minutes thanks to Drew Barrymore’s sweet character, Julia.
9. The Other Guys (2010)
This creatively shot scene in the bar pretty much sums of the craziest night in the movie between Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Can you handle it?
10. She’s All That (1999)
I just pray that all the ladies out there stay far, far, FAR away from tools like this one.
