They are committed to hiring the best of the best, and their application process seems rigorous, but it might be the perfect transition to your next degree or into a new industry. Candidates should have a strong interest in sciences or technology and exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
The High Bar: Community Manager
The High Bar believes in the charter school system. The company provides web-based software tools, training, services, and a community to the boards and CEOs of charter public schools. They’re looking for a community manager to act as the “frontline of communications” for members and external audiences. This person will work to improve the platform and stay up-to-date on news, manage social media sites, and help with content creation. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience managing social media platforms.
Tasted Menu: Content Director
If you’re a foodie interested in content, we’ve got the job for you: Tasted Menu, a website and forthcoming mobile app, is looking for a content director. Tasted Menu helps diners discover the best restaurant dishes by combining reviews and photos from the community with a “company-generated culinary taxonomy and menu database.”
Cambridge Innovation Center/Cambridge Co-Working Center: Associate
Can you name some Boston startups? Chances are, some of them have offices in the Cambridge Innovation Center, a seven-floor facility in Kendall Square that houses 320 startups. The Cambridge Co-Working Center (C3) is a community work space — the largest co-working center in the Boston area — located inside CIC. C3 is looking for an associate for their professional support team. Associates work to develop relationships, help with client requests, arrange new services, and work on special projects. Candidates should have at least one year of professional work.
Puppet Showplace Theatre: Marketing and Social Media Intern
Puppet Showplace Theatre is looking for an unpaid marketing and social media intern for Spring 2012. The intern will provide assistance to the Community Engagement Coordinator and work with aspects of marketing, journalism, social networking, promotions development, and advertising. The ideal candidate will have an interest in performing arts and non-profits and is available for 12-15 hours a week.
