Best Super Bowl Moments by Madonna, Goddess of Pop

The Halftime Show’s wild display of pyrotechnics, computer animation, star power, costumes and dancing was certainly the best we’ve seen in some years. This may be in due, in part, to Madonna’s super powers, of course, and the show’s over-production was exactly the sort of nostalgia-induced, hyper-American circle jerk we love for these national moments of excitement.

In celebration of that fervor, here are the best moments from Super Bowl 46′s Halftime Show.

What did you think of the Halftime Show? Was Madonna as great as you thought she’d be? Not as wonderful? Let us know in the comments.

Alex Pearlman I love the John Adams miniseries, the Disney version of Peter Pan, and 'A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius.' My heroes include Aaron Sorkin, Audrey Hepburn, Gloria Steinem, Woody Allen and Allen Ginsberg. I don't like the two-party system, I do like crossword puzzles. I like red wine, I don't like fascists. I like big ideas, I don't like apathy. I like Wikileaks, I don't like censorship. I believe journalism needs a full-blown revolution to survive.
