Beyond satisfying some of my Jersey pride, this show is deeply fascinating on a much more personal level. Not only did the real Nucky Johnson grow up exactly where I did, in suburban Mays Landing, NJ, but my own family has uncomfortable secrets involving Atlantic City in the ’20s.
Apparently I’m not an adult. Well, shit.

A recent New York Times article has really got our feathers ruffled. Young people are deeply insulted that psychologists and, you know, “grown-ups,” don’t think we’re on the right path. Well, we can think for ourselves, thank-you-very-much. Back off.
