Yeah, I did learn some stuff from my ‘rents

As I look back on those moments with my parents, I’m startled by how many of those lessons I now live by. Funny how that works, eh? At the time, I was all, “Yeah, Dad. I get it. It costs money…” But, hey, now I know the value of a dollar.

Customer service is marketing, isn’t it?

Customer service is the face of a business. It can be as simple as the way a waiter greets you at the door, or the smile (or lack thereof) of your cashier at the grocery store checkout. Brands are responsible for the projection that their customer service provides to each and every consumer, because in today’s world, consumers are empowered to spread the message about how good, or how bad, service is.

I like leaving the office at a reasonable hour. I like to have plans on weeknights. I enjoy spending time in an office full of people instead of being alone on the road. The life of George Clooney’s character in Up in the Air isn’t really a lot of fun.

YouTube makes a time capsule with Life in a Day

Ridley Scott, Kevin MacDonald and YouTube have teamed up for a world-wide experiment, a time capsule, a documentary, an exploration of what it means to be alive in the year 2010. The Life in a Day project has the potential to have very meaningful cultural value to our generation and those that come after.

We are looking for words

Between June 23 and June 27, 2010, 150 youth delegates from the G20 nations gathered in Muskoka and Toronto, Ontario to take part in My Summit 2010. This unique opportunity, organized by the Government of Canada, allowed global Millennials to experience the G8 and G20 Summits in a way that has never been experienced before.
