Welcome to The Next Great Generation (TNGG). This is a site where young people come together to express ourselves, report on news that matters to us, share insights about our lives, and confront some of the labels bestowed upon us by the press and older generations. Our objective is to make sure your opinion is heard.

We invite you to join our community as a blogger, reporter, videographer, photographer, animator, cartoonist, idea-maker, etc. Join us in any way you want! This form is designed primarily for writers, but feel free to shoot a note to our Community Manager, Christine Peterson,  if you have any questions or ideas.

Administratively we work in Trimesters, so please be prepared to commit to the TNGG Community for at least one of these time periods:

  • January 1 – April 30
  • May 1 – August 31
  • September 1 – December 31

Please know that your information will never be shared with anyone without your express permission.

DID YOU WANT TO SIGN UP FOR TNGG BOSTON? If you want to write for Boston.com/TNGG, please fill out our TNGG Boston Form instead.

We look forward to connecting with you!

  • Still in school? Graduated? Tell us where you went!
  • Tell us about yourself! This will be used on our Authors page: http://thenextgreatgeneration.com/authors
  • We only have space to include one link per person on our Authors page. Many choose their personal blog, Twitter handle, LinkedIn profile, or About.Me profile.
Once per month is the minimum commitment to write for TNGG. We operate on trimesters, so you may change your commitment level on January 1, May 1, or September 1.
  • Examples: Technology, Sports, Food, Sex, Start-Ups, Movies, Business, Economics, Celebrity Gossip, TV, Music, U.S. Politics, World News, Non-Profits, Fitness and Nutrition, Social Media, etc, etc.
Please peruse our content sections to see the types of articles we publish for each section. Arts & Entertainment and Pop Culture are managed together (Arts & Culture).
  • Be creative and be specific! This will give us a head start on deciding your first assignment.
